Avid followers of AsAmNews or of Jeremy Lin should know by now that a snowstorm almost kept the popular point guard from making it for the final Sundance screening of the documentary, Linsanity.
A snowstorm delayed the Houston Rockets team plane as it tried to make its way to Utah for a game against the Jazz.
An hour and a half before the screening, Lin tweeted to the organizers, “we won’t make it.” The story was recounted on Kickstarter where the producers have already raised $122,000 for their film.
That was an anxious moment at Sundance. The screening was sold out with many waiting three hours in line to ensure they could get a seat. There was also a long waiting list.
The organizers held out hope that Lin would make it, but finally they had to announce to the crowd that Lin would likely not make it. But they gave the audience an ounce of hope.
