Richard Verma has been sworn in during a private ceremony as the first Indian American Ambassador to India, report Metro Vaartha.
Verma is expected to arrive in India before Secretary of State John Kerry’s visit to Delhi next month. He is credited with playing a key role in the Congressional passage of civil nuclear deal with India.
