A disturbing text message sent by New York Police Officer Wojciech Braszczok has been ruled admissible in the trial for the beating of Alexien Lien, reports NY Daily News.
The text was sent to another officer who served as Braszczok’s handler for his undercover operation during Occupy Wall Street.
That message read “Mayhem… going through red lights, tricks and s–t,” and it was sent a day before the beating. The handler, who also works undercover, was not identified in open court during a pretrial hearing.
“When he called me I said, ‘Why are you texting me this s–t?’ And he goes, ‘I’m only kidding, man.’”
The trial against Braszczok is expected to start next week.
