The voting rights of two Asian Americans in Goshen, New York have been reinstated after they appealed to the Board of Elections, reports the Epoch Times.
Two Fei Tian College students, Ashely Wei and Andrew Fung, were wrongfully told in September their voting registration would be cancelled because they are green card holders.
The mix up apparently stems from bad information from Immigration and Customs Enforcement from which the sheriff department based its initial investigation.
After further inquiry, the students were cleared.
“I’m just happy that my right to vote, which was previously revoked due to inaccurate investigations, was returned to me,” said Wei.
