National: Indian American Advances to Final 24 of American Idol

Indian American contestant Sonika Vaid has advanced to the final 24 of American Idol, reports the National.

Vaid became an early favorite when she wowed the judges during the audition period and judge Harry Connick Jr. declared Vaid could win the competition.

While she survived the rigorous two night elimination round, the judges were a bit more critical this time around.

They seem to love her voice, but think she may be lacking in her performance skills. You can check out what the judges are saying and how Vaid reacted in the National.
