India West reports that the network has ordered a pilot for Square Roots, a show centered around an Indian American family full of engineers.
It stars Adhir Kalyan from Rules of Engagement and Noureen DeWulf of Anger Management.
Kalyan plays Daneesh “Dan” Desai who believes in improving everything and everyone around him using his engineering skills. DeWulf plays his sister Leena Desai who is an environmental engineer and a single woman. Nina Wadia and Bernard White play the mother and father and also happen to be engineers.
The show if picked up by ABC could make air by the fall of 2016.
