Vincent Rodriguez III, who plays the romantic lead Josh Chan on Crazy Ex- Girlfriend, has told AsAmNews, the show has been renewed by the CW.
The romantic comedy, mixed with singing, has drawn critical raves, but has suffered from poor ratings. In fact it’s the lowest rated show on the CW, a network that isn’t exactly a ratings juggernaut to begin with.
So far all the shows which debut this season and featured Asian Americans in lead roles have been renewed.
Those shows include Master of None starring Aziz Ansari on Netflix, Into the Badlands on AMC starring Daniel Wu and Quantico starring Priyanka Chopra on ABC.
No word yet on Dr Ken starring Ken Jeong also on ABC.
