Two popular Asian American actors will join Emmy and Golden Globe winner Keifer Sutherland in a new show already creating buzz this coming fall.

Designated Survivor stars Sutherland as a low level cabinet member who is suddenly thrust into the presidency when the president and his entire cabinet are killed in a terrorist plot during the State of the Union.

Maggie Q (Nikita, Stalker, Divergent) plays Hannah Watts, the lead FBI agent investigating the bombing. Kal Penn co-stars as Seth Wheeler, the new president’s speech writer.

ABC is so high on this show that it put the show on the fall schedule without ever even ordering a pilot.

Designated Survivor will air Wednesday Nights at 10/9c on ABC right after Blackish.

ABC also announced that Fresh Off the Boat is getting yet another time change. It will air Tuesday nights at 9 pm/8c beginning in the fall. It will be followed by mid-season hit, The Real O’Neals. The two shows have proven to make a good pairing with Fresh Off the Boat focusing around a Chinese American family and The Real O’Neals featuring an Irish American family. This also means that Fresh Off the Boat will no longer have to go head to head with the popular Voice on NBC. This is the third time shift for Fresh Off the Boat which originally began at 8pm on Tuesdays, then moved to 8:30 before moving back to 8 and now its shifting to the 9pm time slot. Hopefully viewers will be able to keep up with all that and find it at its new home.

The new schedule was announced at the ABC upfront which kicked off with Priyanka Chopra (Quantico)in a skit built around her character Alex Parrish from her breakout American hit. It evolved into Priyanka showing off her Bollywood roots in a song and dance number worthy of an Oscar number. It included a tribute to Prince and a fun take of Bruno Mars Uptown Funk.

You can check it out below.

ABC also announced that Dr. Ken starring Ken Jeong, Suzy Nakamura, Albert Tsai and Krista Marie Yu. Also taking the stage at the ABC upfront was Geri Wang, President of ABC Sales.
