Washington Post: Chinese Nanny Allegedly Held Captive and Treated Like a Dog

Lili Huang is accused of kidnapping and abusing her nanny
If you think your boss is bad, wait until you hear what one boss is accused of doing.

A nanny in Woodbury, MN was found beaten and starved with a broken rib and sternum.

Her boss, 35-year old Lili Huang, has been charged with human trafficking, false imprisonment and assault.

The nanny has not been named. She had been working for Huang at their home in Shanghai and said she was treated well then. She said things began to change when she arrived in the United States with the family. Prosecutors says she was forced to work 18 hour days and was never paid.

“During the time in the home she was physically assaulted by defendant, often times in front of the children,” Pete Orput, the county prosecutor, said. “When this occurred she told defendant she wanted to return to China. Defendant acquired the victim’s passport and kept it and told the woman she was ‘not going anywhere.’”

The nanny describes a day just weeks ago when she was forced to walk on all fours like a dog for four hours. Huang allegedly became mad when the nanny spilled some food on the floor and threatened to kill her with a knife. That’s when the nanny escaped the home and was found by police badly bruised and beaten.
