WGN: Police Shoot Teen during Traffic Stop in Chicago’s Chinatown

Chicago Police Shooting

Illinois State Police in camouflage clothing and armed with rifles patrolled the streets of Chicago’s Chinatown after a shootout stemming from a traffic stop left a teenage carjacking suspect wounded.

Three teenagers are in custody and a fourth, a 15-year-old boy, is at Stroger Hospital recovering from non-life threatening injuries, reports WGN

Police stopped a BMW that had been reported stolen. The car suddenly took off. Video captured on cell phone shows police officers shooting at the car while it sped away.

One boy was injured in the shooting and was later arrested after he checked himself into the hospital.

Three other suspects ran on foot from the BMW and were later arrested.

You can watch how the whole scene played out including video of the actual shooting as the car sped away in the report below.
