Controversial educator Michelle Rhee withdrew herself from the running for Secretary of Education under Donald Trump, she announced on Twitter.

Not too long after that, President-elect Trump announced that he had nominated billionaire philanthropist Betsy DeVos as his new Secretary of State.
It’s hard to know whether Rhee withdrew after being told by Trump she would not get it or if she really withdrew from consideration.
Nonetheless she pledged to support DeVos and said she was “hopeful about the opportunity to find common ground on this important issue of education.”
Rhee who is married to former NBA star and current Sacramento Mayor Kevin Johnson, pushed reforms during her three years as chancellor of education in Washington D.C. from 2007 until 2010. She fired more than 200 teachers, many who had received poor evaluations.
She is a Democrat but has the same in your face personality of Trump.
